Time Is Tick Tick Ticking Away

By Rhonda

clock1Do you ever feel like you do not have the time to improve your life or make things better? Give this a try. There are 168 Hours in a Week. Here’s a breakdown for an “average” individual:

Still working a FT J.O.B…. 40 Hrs.
Getting Ready 7 days a week… 7 Hrs.
Eating 3 meals a day… 10 Hrs
Commute time to & from J.O.B…. 7 Hrs.
After School Sports, homework, etc…. 5 Hrs.
Sleeping 7 X 7… 49 Hrs.
Laundry, Cleaning, etc…. 10 Hrs.
Total… 128 Hrs.
Hours Left… 40 Hrs.

What are you doing with those extra 40 Hrs? If you don’t fall into the average category, take out a pen and piece of paper now and use the same format to figure how many extra hours you do have.

I’ve been noticing how many people are helpful in this community just like Mike Dillard’s recent post “You Rock” stated. However, I’ve also been noticing that some people are spending their time using the Better Networker Community to state how MLM, Network Marketing, etc. is not working for them instead of using it for what it is intended for and that is to network and learn from others. There will always be someone telling us how our business does not work. I had a mentor once that said to her team, “I don’t ever want to hear you say this business doesn’t work. Instead, say you didn’t work the business”. We need to avoid the naysayers like the plague.

If you are having a problem, post it in an “I need help” way. People love to help other people. Have you ever noticed that the top leaders do not even take the time to comment directly on negative remarks? It’s because it is what it is: Wasted Time. Everyone succeeds in different ways. What might not work for you may be working quite well for someone else. If you don’t like the method someone is using, find another method that fits your personality. If you don’t like your mentor, find another one. It’s pretty simple. I love my mentor, Ferny Ceballos, a mastermind in SEO.

If you are taking the time to write about how unhappy you are with a certain type of business, how can you spend quality time building a business that makes you happy? The successful people you hear from on a regular basis did not do it overnight. They started where we started: At the bottom and with little time. No one starts at the top and stays there. You have to overcome certain obstacles. You must have trials and tribulations to mold you into a leader. Like they say, “If it were easy, everyone would be doing it”. Not everyone is supposed to do it so we need to focus our energies on those that are coachable and quit trying to convince those people that have no desire to be successful that we can show them what they need to do. No no no. If their heart is not in it, we are wasting our time and theirs. Remember, once time is gone, you can never get it back.

I know 95% of our problems can be fixed by looking in the mirror. Whether you are new to your business or not, a substantial amount of time should be spent working on “you”. This is the product you are really trying to sell.

To wrap things up, one of my favorite short reads (79 pages) is a book by Mark Sanborn called “The Fred Factor”. The book is followed by a rave review by Brian Tracy, author of “The 21 Success Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires“.
